Job Description



TITLE: FCCS Program Manager                                                


REPORTS TO: Program Director                                      REVISION DATE: March 10, 2014


SUMMARY OF POSITION: Work is collaboration with Adults Program Director to manage the clinical and administrative functions of the FCCS program.



  1. Supervision of field-based services and intake coordination process.
  2. Maintain a productivity caseload of 60% per week (approximately 10 clients), providing field-based individual therapy and case management to clients who are or have been intensive service recipients (most of whom live in board-and-care facilities).
  3. Provide documentation and administrative training and supervision to clinical staff as required.
  4. Responsible for staff completing outcome measures and opening and closing cases on a timely manner
  5. Monitor and promote staff productivity.
  6. Monitor quality assurance and compliance and DMH standards and procedures, both clinical and documentation.
  7. Monitors referrals of cases for psychiatric consultation.
  8. Attend regular DMH meetings (usually two per month) attending to program policy and client enrollment and disenrollment matters.
  9. Maintain communication/contact with DMH as necessary and/or requested.
  10. Reviews all program outgoing letters in consultation with the Program Director.
  11. Complete performance evaluations of clinical staff.
  12. Participates in all required meetings and activities, utilization reviews, quality assurance staff meetings, and case conferences.
  13. Provide Program Director with requested appraisals of all program operations.
  14. Other duties as assigned.



  1. MA/MSW required; MFT, LCSW, Ph.D., preferred.
  2. 2 years post-license experience required.
  3. Bilingual Spanish Speaking preferred.



  1. Knowledge of public mental health system.
  2. Ability to provide services in the field.
  3. Strong interest and commitment to working in multiethnic, multicultural settings.
  4. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  5. Good writing and strong communication skills; well organized, attentive to details.
  6. All employees, regardless of position, serve as role models for the clients who are served by our agency.  Therefore, each employee must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents, and adults who may have mental or behavioral health problems.  The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling.  Hostility, verbal aggression, unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions, and inappropriate emotional expression are not acceptable.




  1. Work is normally performed in the field, with some work in an office setting.
  2. Limited physical effort required.
  3. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment.
  4. Work environment involves working with the severely and persistently mentally ill.
